Dr. Henao
Dr. Gwendolyn Henao takes a well-rounded view of medicine and her patients, and that approach already has earned her accolades from patients at Sharp Medical Center's Outpatient Pavillion.
A scholarship recipient at the prestigious Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Henao gravitated toward obstetrics and gynecology during her residency at Baylor for its balance of surgery, wellness practice and delivering babies.
Her interest in female aesthetics and "catering to the woman as a whole," led Dr. Henao to spearhead West Coast OBGYN's founding of a state-of-the-art laser and cosmetics clinic.
Born in Houston, she spent much of her childhood in Columbia as well as Texas. Dr. Henao speaks English and Spanish with equal fluency.
A passionate oboe and English horn player who performed at Carnegie Hall, she enjoys tennis, cycling, rollerblading, classical music and opera, as well as cooking, travel and spending time with husband Ramin Raiszadeh, a spine surgeon, and their three daughters.
